Join us for CFBLA’s upcoming CLE luncheon, Tech-Driven Efficiency: Time Management Tools for the Modern Lawyer, featuring guest speaker C. Todd Smith.  This event will be held at noon on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the offices of Akerman LLP, 420 S. Orange Avenue, Suite 1200, Orlando, Florida..  C. Todd Smith will be our guest speaker.  You will learn how to streamline workflows, enhance communication, and learn about technology tools to optimize time management across your practice. From case management software to AI-driven best practices, this webinar provides actionable insights to help you save time, improve client service, and stay ethically compliant in a tech-centric legal landscape. Perfect for attorneys looking to harness technology for a more efficient and organized practice.  One hour of Technology CLE credit is pending approval. 

The luncheon cost is $25.00 for CFBLA members and $35.00 for non-members. Please note that if you reserve a spot but do not attend, you will be billed for the reservation. This event will not be live-streamed, but a recording will be available later on our website.

CFBLA 2025 Board of Directors Elections
Call for Nominees!

The CFBLA Board of Directors will have five openings available for 2025.  If you’re interested in joining, please submit your name by Monday, December 9, 2024.  This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our local bankruptcy community and bring your insights to the planning of CFBLA activities, including CLE webinars, luncheons, seminars, and social events.


Newly elected Directors will serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027.  The Board meets monthly on the first Wednesday, with luncheons on the third Wednesday. Candidates must be current CFBLA Attorney Members in good standing. 

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, voting links will be sent to Attorney, Non-Attorney, and Paralegal/Legal Assistant members (Affiliate members are not eligible to vote).  Voting will close at noon on December 18, 2024, and the elected Directors will be notified before an announcement to all CFBLA members.
