Introduction to Zoom Section 341 Meetings

CFBLA’s next CLE luncheon, Introduction to Zoom Section 341 Meetings (USTP’s overview of 341 meetings by Zoom)  will be held at noon on Thursday, June 21, 2023, at the offices of Akerman LLP, 420 S. Orange Avenue, Suite 1200, Orlando, Florida.  William J. Simonitsch, Asst. US Trustee, and Maureen E. Gimenez, Supervisory Auditor Trustee Oversight, will discuss the implementation of virtual 341 meetings by making you aware of changes to existing meeting practices in your Region’s judicial districts and familiarize you with the Best Practices for Debtors, Debtors’ Attorneys, and Other Parties in Interest for Attending Virtual § 341(a) Meetings of Creditors in Chapter 7, 12, and 13 Cases (“Best Practices”) adopted by the Program. In addition to the Best Practices, the training incorporates some information and guidance from the Interim Procedures for Trustees to Conduct Virtual § 341(a) Meetings of Creditors in Chapter 7, 12, and 13 Cases (“Interim Procedures”) and the Chapter 7, 12, and 13 Trustee Handbooks. In addition to informing the bar of the Program changes, it is important that we incorporate relevant local changes that may affect your Region’s debtors, bankruptcy bar or judicial districts.  One hour of General and Technology has been requested.   

The cost for lunch is $25.00 for CFBLA Members and $35.00 for Non-Members.  Please remember, if you make a reservation for lunch but fail to attend, you will be billed for the reservation.   You may pay online through our website or pay at the door.
