CFBLA Webinar - Case Law Update: Landlord/Tenant Issues in Bankruptcy

Please join us on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at noon, for CFBLA’s next CLE Webinar, featuring Denise Dell-Powell of Dean Mead and Nicolette Vilmose of Nelson Mullins presenting Landlord/Tenant Issues in Bankruptcy.  COVID has added to the challenges Chapter 11 debtors face in commercial bankruptcies. The lack of customer traffic in brick-and-mortar operations, commercial debtors are struggling to meet their monthly lease obligations, including rent payments. Additionally, without tenants paying rent many landlords are unable to pay their mortgage payments. Even in bankruptcy, the Bankruptcy Code requires the timely performance of lease obligations. However,  certain debtors have been successful in obtaining a deferral or cessation of rent payments and other non-essential expenses. We will present a general overview of Landlord-Tenant issues in bankruptcy and some considerations for landlords and tenants in the post COVID world.

This webinar is free for all CFBLA, TBBA, and JBBA members, and $26.30 for all non-members (Payment through PayPal).  To attend, you MUST RSVP below.
