Joint CFBLA/FBA Luncheon

Ponzi:  A Fraud By Any Other Name Just Isn’t The Same

Panelists:  Roger Handberg, Esq., Chief, Orlando Division, United States Attorney’s Office; Michael Goldberg, Esq., Chair of Akerman LLP’s Fraud and Recovery Practice; and Soneet R. Kapila, founding partner of KapilaMukamal, LLP.  This panel brings together Ponzi scheme experts who worked on the largest Ponzi scheme in the Middle District of Florida and other Ponzi schemes across the nation.  They will discuss how to determine if fraudulent activity amounts to a Ponzi scheme and how a Ponzi scheme may unfold in civil, criminal and bankruptcy proceedings.  Jill Kelso will moderate the panel.

This event is complimentary with your CFBLA membership.  Spend an afternoon with friends and family by the lake.  Come and enjoy CFBLA’s Family Fun Day on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Winter Park Racquet Club, 2111 Via Tuscany, Winter Park.   Activities will include swimming, fishing, face painting and water activities.  We’ll also have a giant inflatable waterslide for the little ones!  Complimentary lunch and libations will be served.
